Public Relations
Public Relations (2012) is series of large-scale advertisements that were installed on Saskatoon public buses. The project intended to disrupt the public transit’s corporate advertising space by installing ads depicting images of a woman consuming popular landmarks from the Saskatoon’s urban landscape. This mobile exhibition engaged the public in a dialogue about the commercialization of public spaces as the work traveled through both residential and commercial areas. The project was also a commentary on the rapid change of the Saskatoon’s landscape and the disappearance of well known landmarks due to the city’s development.
